2peter 3:11 What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness. The following verse is a continuation from verse 10 , 2 peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be.
God is expecting your answer. What a manner of person are you? Do you like what God hate and hates what he likes? Do you know friendship to the world is enmity to God. James 4:4 don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
Believing in Christ have some cost. Galatians 5:24″Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. For if you suffer with him you will reign with him, 2 Timothy 2:12 : “If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us.
Having the knowledge that the wrath of God is coming to all sons of disobedience in verse 6 of Colosians 3, Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.
The scripture says live circumspectly not as fools, Eph 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. The fools says there is no God and for this reason they live without inner constrain. Psalm 14:1 (NIV): “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.”
Every Christian should test whether he is in The faith 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.
