Proverbs 13:13 Whosoever despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.
One of the greatest weapon of the enemy to our generation is causing people to despise the word. By doing so this bring destruction, the scripture says my people are destroyed because of the lack of knowledge. Hosea 4;6my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
Demotion is also a part of it and many do not know, God demoted the children of Eli for dishonoring him and Said in the book of 1 Samuel 2:30 for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. Honoring God is honoring his word.
On the other hand, God exalted Job and blessed him mightily for esteeming the word. In the book of Job 42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. The reason why God blessed him, this was jobs secret. Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
He did not despise the word of the lord rather he esteem the word of the lord more than necessary food. Until you reach to a point in your life where you esteem the word than food you won’t enjoy fully like Job.
This level of esteeming the word than food is called meditation. Then and only then you will be indeed be successful. Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
The scripture says whoever lack this knowledge is blind but is life to whoever who finds them 2 Peter 1:8-11 New King James Version (NKJV)For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Proverbs 4;22 For they are life unto those that find them.
The children of Israel knew the act of the lord but Moses knew the ways of the lord according to the book of Psa 103:7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. There was a great different to know a miracle and to know how to perform it. Well this was Moses big secret .Psalms 119:93-105 NLT I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life.
According to John 10:10 Devil comes to steal. Have you ever wondered what he robs Matthew 4: 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
According to above scripture he steals the word, why the word? Because he knows all things were made by the word according to John 1: 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. The word have the creating power to give you all you ever wanted.
The enemy understand this principle and goes for the word. Don’t you ever forget this….. Psalm 107:20 He sent out his word and delivered them from their destruction. The only place of your deliverance is the word .

Whoever ignore the word shall be destroyed.
